A Moment I'll Never Forget

We've all had our fair share of fear, but have you ever had this much fear?

One night in Bali, while I was on holiday, my family and I were swimming in the hotel pool. It was 8PM, so we had to go back to our rooms. As they started to tidy up, I was there, still swimming in the pool. They asked me, "Are you gonna go back?" And I insisted on staying. They said that it was alright, as long as I went back in a bit.

A couple of minutes after they had left, I was all alone, in the dark, shadowy night. As I was finishing my swim, I saw something like a human, approaching me with little to no sound, something a silhouette would do. I shrugged it off, just like that, and when I went to grab my towel, I saw him running at me, horrendously, and what did I do? I jumped back in the pool.

I thought that it would'nt get me in the pool, but little did I know, he jumped in as well. As I tried to hastily swim away, he was approaching me with such speed that could'nt even be compared to me. I saw him upclose, and noticing that he had a red polo shirt on, it seemed that I was truly idiotic. All my delusions led to nothing but false terror.

It had turned out to be a security guard that was trying to warn me to not stay in the pool after 8PM, to avoid any accidents. I was absolutely relieved that it was him, instead of some guy trying to murder me. And just like that, I went out of the pool and went back to my room.

*Picture for reference, this was somewhat similar to what I experienced.
